About - Linda Swales MAAT
Linda's many years of experience within the Educational finance environment and knowledge of school processes and systems including FMS give her the skills to provide a perfect mix of finance and technical support to schools.
Linda started working in education finance in 1997 as a School Bursar. Linda then worked for Capita Business Services as a Managed Service Provider providing Financial Cover in various Schools. In 2002 Linda moved to Reading LA to manage Finance Support to Schools. After leaving the LA in September 2011 Linda worked with the Finance Manager of the Institute of Education at the University of Reading on a consultancy basis developing budget building and budget monitoring tools. Linda founded and became a Director of LBS in 2012.
About - Laura Edmonds BSc. MSc. AICB
Laura's combined accountancy and Educational finance experience give her the skills to support private schools, maintained schools and academies.
After completing a BSc at the University of Reading and an MSc at the University of Essex, Laura began her career in Human Resources Management. Further roles saw her move increasingly into Finance and Accountancy roles and she eventually ended up working as a Senior Manager with Edmonds Accountancy in 2008. Laura has over 15 years' experience working in Finance Management roles and almost 10 years working with and supporting schools within the public and private sectors. Laura became a Director of LBS in 2016.
